Our Philosophy

At Bikram Yoga College of India Omaha, we believe in the transformative power of yoga. Our philosophy centers around mindfulness, wellness, and achieving balance in life through dedicated practice.


 Bikram yoga is a specific, fixed sequence of 26 postures and two breathing exercises performed in a heated room (105°F/41°C with 40% humidity) for 90 minutes, popularized by Bikram Choudhury. It is a form of hot yoga that aims to build strength, balance, and flexibility, although some research has indicated potential risks like heat-related illness. The rigid sequence and hot environment are distinguishing features of Bikram yoga, which is known for its challenging yet systematic approach to a full-body workout.
